When people search PIndex, scammers want to intercept them with fake “verification portals.” The defense is boring and effective: type domains manually, keep money conversations inside official venue escrow, and refuse remote-access tooling.

Three impersonation patterns

  • Mirror sites that copy layouts but ask for seed phrases or “unlock fees.”
  • Fake support via WhatsApp with urgent appeals and alternate payment rails.
  • Typosquat links that look like exchange help desks.

What to do instead

  1. Navigate support from inside the exchange app settings.
  2. Keep disputes and proof inside escrow chat.
  3. Report mechanisms safely—redact PII if you post publicly.
